Shooting Burglars

2 men were shot at while attempting to burgle a house near Melton, Mowbray. The victims were in the house at the time and one victim shot at the burglars with a legally held shotgun. The victims were then held in custody for suspicion of GBH but were released after the burglars were caught. The burglars tried to reduce their sentence because of the shooting but the judge at Leicester Crown Court refused saying it was not a mitigating factor. They were sentenced to 4 years imprisonment. Millionaire’s Drug Abuse

A millionaire property developer, James Brown, was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment by Swansea Crown Court for drug offences. He made enough money to retire to Portugal at the age of 36. He got hooked on cocaine when he retired and snorted so much that the cartilage in his nose collapsed, similar to the septum case of the East Enders actress Daniella Westbrook.The police found £9,000 worth of cocaine in his Bentley and 2 guns in the hotel room he was staying in. 8 Men Jailed for Sex Abuse of Girls

Eight men have been jailed for luring underage girls off the streets and out of care homes for sex. The men would offer the girls money, cigarettes, drugs, mobile phones and treats in exchange for sex. The men were said to have preyed on the girls in Normanton and Pear Tree in Derbyshire. They were said to have acted individually and did not know each other. Plebgate

The Conservative Chief Whip Andrew Mitchell (a senior Government official), tried to use the main exit with his bike from Downing Street and was told to use the pedestrian side exit. He allegedly replied "Best you learn your f****** place. You don’t run this f****** government...You’re f****** plebs."  He later apologised in general terms and said he was a having a frustrating day. If the general public treated a PC in the same way at the gates of government, would they be treated to the same attitude in response? Delivery Driver Stabbed

A delivery driver was found dying in his van, which was initially believed to be a traffic accident. Mohammed Saleem Khan was found collapsed in a rented vehicle which had crashed into some bollards. It turned out that Khan was stabbed in the neck and detectives are now treating it as a possible racist attack. HS&Co have defended in many cases involving similar scenarios. In Your Defence.
