Millions of
peoples’ photographs are being put on the police national police database, in
an apparent attempt to stop criminals moving around the country without
detection. The fear is of a breach of civil liberties, with the pictures
of people who have not committed any offences on the database. So, merely being
arrested might lead you to being one of the millions currently stored. Holding
a current Driving Licence also makes one eligible for storage.
