No Time for Trials, the Olympics is on!

The taxpayers are paying for suspects in custody for weeks longer due to the police guarding the Olympics. It could cost £100 a day for each defendant to stay in custody and these delays could run into the autumn. Nearly 1,300 officers from the West Midlands and Staffordshire forces are on duty at the games. The Metropolitan Police admitted extra cops had to be drafted in due to the G4S fiasco.
