Now there's damage and there is damage

So the stats show that last year a young person (under 18) was arrested every two and a half minutes. A lady on the Radio 5Live programme this morning was talking about her 11 years old having been arrested and cautioned  in 2005 for a throwing error which caused minor criminal damage. The whole process has left her and her son with not much faith in the police. Also, the DNA profile will be on the system until he pops his clogs.
So damage causes damage when the panoply of the state gets involved in criminalising our young people on relatively trivial isolated matters. HSandCo have been called to police stations to sort such cases on many occasions in recent decades. One wonders how much this had more to do with the voracious stats feeding appetite of the Government and it's quangos in all their forms.
HSandCo, in your defence.
