Gang Burglaries

Youths have been committing household burglaries for initiation into gangs. Gangs in London have also increasingly turned to crimes such as burglary to obtain more cash. The Met Police are worried that there will be a rise in burglaries around the London area. Scotland Yard have said around 25% of all violent burglaries in London are now committed by gangs. English Jesuit Priest Edmund Campion was hanged, drawn and quartered because Queen Elizabeth I’s Government changed a key document used in the prosecution. The government  were so determined they added his name to a list of hundreds of English émigré priests accused of conspiring to overthrow the English Monarch.Priest Edmund Campion was tied to a wicker hurdle that was dragged along the roads through London to the place of execution. He and two others were then hanged and cut from the gallows.
