A blind man was tasered by a police officer when his white stick was apparently mistaken for a sword. The officer had several reports of a man walking around with a samurai sword and saw the blind man. He is said to have asked the man to stop, he failed to do so and the officer discharged his taser. The man was traumatised by the events. The Chorley Police Force apologised for the mistake made and are investigating to understand what lessons can be learned. The suspected man with the samurai sword was arrested later that day on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly.

Cocaine Mule Gets Caged

A woman has been jailed for 6 years after smuggling £5million worth of pure cocaine in a horse blanket. The 10kg of class A drugs was hidden in a specially designed pocket in the horse blanket. This was noticed by workers in the stable when the horse arrived, prior to being moved to Manchester. McCue-Smith was found guilty of conspiracy to supply drugs in Canterbury Crown Court. Homicide and Russian Prostitute

Winston Fernandez, a 69-year-old retired accountant, was beaten to death in his home by a Russian prostitute. After claiming it was self defence, Natalia Woolley was acquitted of murder but convicted of manslaughter at Guildford Crown Court.
