‘Twitter Trolls’ Warning
A 17-year-old boy in Dorset was arrested on suspicion of malicious communication. He was arrested for sending messages to Tom Daley after he came 4th in the 10m synchronised dive with Pete Waterfield. One tweet to 18-year-old Daley (whose father Rob died of cancer last year) read: 'You let your dad down.' The alleged offender was issued with a harassment warning and was bailed out while Dorset Police investigate other communications on his Twitter account. HS&Co deal with cases involving the Malicious Communications Act and the Protection from Harassment Act.
